Admissions
Applications are currently being accepted for the
2008 Winter Semester.
Online application forms can be submitted on the Shang
Shung.org by clicking here. Applications are considered on
a rolling basis. However, in order to ensure a place,
applicants are advised to submit their application
materials and fee ($50) at least two months prior to the
semester they are applying to since enrollment is limited.
Prospective students are strongly encouraged to visit the
school. Please notify the school ahead of time to arrange a
convenient time to visit.
Requirements
• Working knowledge of English (instruction given in
English)
• Strong motivation to study Tibetan medicine
•
Compassion for people suffering from physical or mental
disease.
• Willingness to commit to the four-year program.
This is a key criterion for admission to the program.
Recommended
• Knowledge of health, anatomy, physiology and related
subjects
• Knowledge of Tibetan culture, philosophy and
religion
• Background in Tibetan medicine, massage or
other therapies
